DANIELLE BERO was born in Queens to hippie parents, given a dose of Shel Silverstein, Tupac, jazz and classic rock.  Bero is a Posse and Indonesian Fulbright scholar, co-founded a school for students in foster care and is currently a high school principal and continuity supervisor in the film industry. She holds a master’s in English Education, Educational Leadership and completed her MFA at the University of San Francisco. She is a Jack Straw Fellow and Saints and Sinners Festival poetry winner. She is published in Divine Feminist anthology, Lavender Review, Quiet Lightning, Juked etc. and has a micro-chapbook ‘Schooled’ published by Ghost City Press.
